A tip for junior SAP FI consultant – Financial statement

If you are an SAP consultant or in any support project, you know how important it is to have knowledge about four basic financial statements and how the SAP Financial statement version can be set up to meet reporting needs of various stakeholders.

SAP Financial Statement Version – FSV is a tool designed specifically for generating financial statements (such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets) to meet specific legal disclosure requirements related to certain items (such as assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and so on) in financial reports. You can also define multiple financial statement versions to generate financial statements in different formats

The Four basic Financial Statement includes

(a) Income Statement

(b) The Balance sheets

(c) Statement of retained earnings

(d) The statement of cash flows

One of the reasons for a failed SAP project is inability to get a consultant with the knowledge of the project business area. To be functional in SAP FI module, regardless of the certification, you need to get the basic knowledge of accounting concepts. #sap #accounting #sapfico
